Privacy
Last updated October 15, 2026. This page explains what this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- You can read the directory and use the calculators without giving us anything.
- If you sign up for the newsletter, we keep your email address (and first name, if you give it) to send you the weekly email.
- We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Newsletter signups
The signup form is run by HubSpot, which stores your email address, your first name if you add it, and the date you signed up. We use this only to send the weekly email and to see how many people read it. HubSpot may use cookies to run the form and to protect it from spam. The form is also protected by Google reCAPTCHA, so the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. See HubSpot's privacy policy for how HubSpot handles data.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails right away.
Calculators
The money calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored anywhere.
Hosting and visitor counts
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel keeps short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and secure the service. We do not use these logs to identify you.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read most. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
Sponsors
Sponsor payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. We receive the sponsor's name, email, and payment confirmation, never full card numbers.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, reply to any of our emails. We will act on it within 30 days. This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If this page changes, we will update the date at the top.
